What is this site about?

This is a one-stop site for those wishing to find a career in software or web development, within the West Midlands area of England. You will find listings of local courses; hybrid or remote, part-time or full-time, free or paid. Many of these courses require no prior qualifications, only the desire to learn. Due to the lack of diversity in tech, some of the courses listed are restricted to certain demographics e.g. gender, ethnicity, etc. Future pages will feature local and remote meetups, friendly open source communities and projects, career support and free tools.

Who are we?

We are LevelCoder, a group of tech lovers working and studying within a 50 mile radius of Birmingham city centre. Our aim is to make learning open to everyone with a passion for tech. We recognise that many beginners, whether they be education leavers or career changers, are clueless about where and how to start their journey into a tech career.

Currently this is a minimal viable product (MVP) which will be made open source in the near future. We hope that others will contribute to this project, by improving it, adding to it or even copying it for their own community.
